?OVER UBER??

AMERICANS SHOULD NOT SUPPORT UBER! They are importing thousands of people from overseas to drive for Uber which is a complete disgrace! I use to love Uber before they started hiring all these foreigners who dont know our culture, cant drive and barely speak a word of English. The personal hygiene ? of some of these drivers is horrendous. WEAR DEODORANT! How do you even do a background check on someone from Sudan, Iran, Syria and the rest of the Middle East? Probably not a good one! Uber puts your safety at risk given this fact! The refugee pandering needs to stop! And when Uber starts focusing their efforts on hiring fellow out of work Americans (like they use to)...I will support the app again!

What a great app

Only one thing I would like to say three times. Comfortable comfortable comfortable!

Scheduling a ride in the future

I use Uber often. But, when I travel, I want to be picked up on time to make my early morning flight. Right now Im in Boston, just after the blizzard, and I have to get to the airport early. Uber lets me schedule a pickup with the disclaimer the theres no guarantee a driver will pick me up. I find it disconcerting that my iPhone AP doesnt show me that I have a request scheduled. Taxi companies Apps let you know youre on the schedule. It wouldnt be hard for Uber to confirm that there is a request pending. I worry about backup plan anyway. It doesnt seem like much to be able to check that my request was received and Im on the list.

No support

Cards not working. PayPal isnt working and no support whatsoever available. Uber driver couldnt find me. I did not get a refund.

I like app,this is a great app and very helpful.Thank you

Bad customer support

The Uber support team is almost not functional. Every time I reach out I get a different person that gives me a blanket response and when I reply another person reaches out telling me that they too kindly cannot do anything to help me. Basically deleted the app because problems never got solved.

Spammy notifications

Spammed me with extraneous notifications. Not cool.

Terrible customer service

They charged me almost 100 for a ride I didnt take. The driver accepted the trip was canceled and even with that I was not able to get a refund. Stop using uber!

USE LYFT NOT UBER

Their customer service is the absolute worst!! They refuse to help anyone if you get wrongfully charged and give you automated messages that dont apply to your messages. Which make you feel like youre not being listened to. Lyfts customer service and drivers are amazing!! Dont use uber trust me

Caution: cant delete payment info after entering

The app will not let you delete your payment information after you enter it. I decided to move over to Lyft, and found out that uber wont let go of my credit card info!!! (FYI: I worked around it by adding paypal as my payment info, after which uber does let go of the original payment method. I then deleted uber from the allowed vendors list in my paypal)

Most reliable, great service

Best way to get from A to B. And admire companys transparency and support of thousands of immigrant drivers...

Bad navigation algorithm

I cant even spell algorithm without autocorrect. But I do know that the navigation that Waze gives is better than the directions that my driver got from the uber app. At 3am I shouldnt get stuck on the interstate for 20 minutes because of planned construction. The app needs to see these kind of things as well as google evidently can.

Dont like update

Of course I dont like the updated location tracking but others have covered that so I will skip it. But I have two other complaints I havent seen widely mentioned. One is the ride estimates. Today I got a $6-8 estimate for my scheduled ride, then 10 minutes before pickup I get a text saying it will be $11-14 and my only options are to accept or cancel the ride ! Why is the estimate so far off? With ten minutes left to pickup its too late for me to try other options. Also, I have been using the app for years (though a lot less lately) and suddenly it has added an extra digit to my home street address. The driver called because he couldnt find me. But when I go into settings, the address is right. Can you guys please focus on the nuts and bolts of the app and stop trying to track us?

Latest update still wants location services always - FAIL

The latest update still wants location services even when not using the app. The While Using The App option has still not been resurrected. Sorry, but Uber only needs my location when Im using the app. Nothing more, and definitely not to track me for 5 minutes after they drop me off. Where I go after exiting the car is my business, not theirs. I dont allow any app to be set to "always" in location services. And all the recent news underscores why we should not trust Uber to track us.

Fare hikes/extremely unwarranted surcharges

Its sad to see Uber has risen the price for pool used to be $3.75(which they are advertising) and now its minimally $6. This morning there seemed to be a lot of cars and they wanted $20 for a pool ride which normally costs 3.75. Uber your price gouging and the drivers I have always complain that its slow when youre surcharging.

This is the first time using the app. It is very helpful and easy to us.

Horrible customer service

It used to be that if a driver did something like take a longer route to get you charge more money, that tomorrow take care of it. Apparently, that is no longer the case. So we wear drivers who go out of their way to take a longer route to charge you more money, because now they can get away with it.

Out of date

I had Uber when it originally came out, and had no problems with it. I deleted the app due to lack of space. Last weekend, I tried to re-download the app during Shamrock the block. No success. I assumed the app crashed bc the entire city of Richmond was trying to bar hop. I downloaded Lyft and got to my destinations with no problem. Fast forward to today, Im trying to download Uber yet again, with no success. Long story short, Uber is a thing of the past and Lyft is a reliable future.

Substandard Ethics.

Basing this review on Ubers lack of ethical standards. I wont do business with a business with a CEO at the helm who uses terminology like "Boober" .... but thats only one of many poorly crafted decisions, strategies and behaviors of that that show a lack of maturity and vision. Switching to Lyft.

Why always on location?

I cant see any reason why Uber would require always on location services. A bad update with invasive privacy spells automatic delete. Good thing Lyft has their act together.
