Uber is a massive corporation that participates in the "race to the bottom" and undermines decades of worker rights organizing to win better work standards. They dont give their drivers any protections or benefits and drivers have to drive an insane amount of hours to have a decent pay. I have talked to many drivers who feel like they straight up got scammed by Uber - they bought a very expensive car on credit when Uber started, being promised high wages that would have made paying back for the car easy. As Uber added more and more cars on the road to drive down prices for consumers, drivers who bought those nice black "Uber" standard cars got trapped and are struggling to pay back their debt. Their lack of principles has been demonstrated in many other incidences. There is a video documenting the Uber CEO yelling at a driver in a car and treating him like a sub-human. During the JFK Airport shutdown, as thousands of protestors gathered at the airport to oppose Trumps travel ban, unionized taxi drivers went on strike in solidarity. Instead of joining the cause, Uber undercut the pro-refugee strike by decreasing their prices. Finally, there have been many reports of sexual harassment in Ubers corporate office. Ubers values, or lack thereof, epitomize everything that is wrong with the tech world. I hope their downfall teaches society a lesson about valuing peoples labor and creating safe work environments grounded in fair and equitable practices. Innovation should help raise industry standards, not destroy them. #deleteUber
I used uber to get to the airport last time but the driver just canceled my request while i was waiting and I almost missed my flight. Will never use again!
During St Pattys I cancelled two rides after drivers got stuck in traffic for ten minutes. After cancelling the ride, I was charged and Uber customer service INSISTED I got in the car and drove with them. What a terrible business model.
Last night we had our driver come to pick us up after taking forever when it only said 2 minutes, and when we got into the car there was vomit. We got out and reported it to Uber and they said that the 5 dollar cancellation fee was appropriate, and will not refund my 5 dollars. How ridiculous. Uber used to be good. theyve formed a monopoly and feel like they can do whatever they please.
Horrible, I wish I could leave zero stars! Tried to request a trip 3 times. Every time I got into the car and started the trip the app would cancel my trip. That means I had to get out of the car and re request! I ended up taking a Lyft.
App said driver was 1 min away for 5 minutes then driver canceled and I was charged! It never ever said he arrived.

Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

I enjoyed how cheap and easy it was to get around in Malaysia with Uber, but there are several reasons Im considering alternatives. A few are: - Uber needs an option for enabling location services only when using the app. I am forced to do this manually today. - Uber emails receipts to me in Russian Cyrillic text. I do not speak or read the Russian language. - Uber offers no way to review a previous driver once you start a trip with a new driver. That is a shame because a good driver is missing a five-star review. - Uber does not let me change my name or set a profile picture. I dont even know how it got the name that it has for me now. --
They wanted to charge me because the driver canceled before picking me up. Like the trip counted. But i didnt even get on the car.
As a driver, Im able to view what the rider pays and the breakdown between ubers commission, black car fund (NYC), sales tax, and obviously my payout. Ubers Payouts in NYC used to be 25% commission and 8.875% black car fund. Lately they have been overcharging the rider and paying the driver as little as 50%. Ive had trips where the driver payout is $14 but rider is charged $26. Ubers commission alone is $10. For another ride, the total fare was $106, Uber commission was $33. The reason why this happens is Uber grossly miscalculates the route, or outright OVERCHARGES the rider. They do this on X rides to subsidize their pool rides. Honestly it is such a shame, such sleazy tactics. If we use faster routes, Uber ends up keeping the difference, rather than crediting the passenger or paying the driver. According to this, it is in our best interest to take the LONGEST possible route. Do yourself a favor as a rider and calculate the mileage and time driven. Then look at your overall cost. The rates are listed publicly Im each region. YOU WILL BE SHOCKED AT HOW MUCH MONEY THEYRE TAKING. Its straight manipulative, deceptive and demeaning. This has to change and stop. On top of that their support downright disgusting; they have a system where as soon as they respond to a question it is selected as RESOLVED. Ive had completed Quests where I have not received my bonus, they listed as resolved and say wait 24-48 hours, after that they say wait till next pay statement, how is this issue resolved if I havent received the funds nor is it reflected in the balance? It should instead say responded, or replied back to. UNBIASEDLY this is the WORST rideshare company. Everything I have said is OBJECTIVELY true.
I will not be using this app anymore. Because I declined letting the app keep tracking my location even while I am not using the app, it is now next to useless. Good thing I still have Lyft installed, because with Uber there isnt an option in the privacy tab in the phones Settings app for setting the tracking of location "Only While Using", like there is for other apps (Including Lyft).

Used an uber twice last week for the fist time in L.A. It was super easy to use and uber driver came quickly! Rates are super reasonable as well! Highly recommend!
The app has gotten worse. Incorrectly charged my credit card the cancellation fee though the driver cancelled the trip. Got Uber credits but cant use even though the apply credit settings is toggled on. Had multiple trips and none of that got the credits applied. Contacted Uber but couldnt resolve this app bug. Lyft is cheaper most of the time (at least in my city) and not as buggy.
I dont have easy access to public transportation where I live and this app is a life saver. Its always good to know you can count on a quick way to get to work or out of it when youre in a rush.
I was charged for a ride when the driver never picked me up and accepted the ride. I called him and he told me to cancel and that he wasnt coming. I let uber know and they wouldnt refund me .99.... really, you want to loose a customer over .99. I deactivated my account.
