Might as well try it out since it likely wont cost you a thing! The app is easy to use and intuitive, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make/model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have car chargers at your ready! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away, and price is usually the cheapest.

I am a rider, not a driver. However, I recently found that my account is associated with a partner account for a phone number in Russia. I do not know where this information came from. I have never been to Russia, I do not speak Russian, and I dont have a phone number in Russia. Needless to say I have submitted a request to delete my Uber account.

Uber had a fantastic idea to create ride-sharing, but they have made countless errors in the execution of their ideas. The technology behind routing UberPOOLs is terrible. Once I had a driver make a u-turn on the Mass Pike and circle back to basically where my trip has started in downtown Boston just so that he could pick up the third rider in our POOL. Also, there is awful customer service for Uber. This is their biggest mistake. They need to hire actual people to handle their customers issues. Theres also no phone number that you can call in order to speak to someone regarding any specific problems. When you message them through the app, you will almost certainly receive an automated response from someone who clearly didnt read your complaint and is just trying to quickly solve your problem and move on to the next one. They are decent at providing credits towards your next ride(s) without much hassle, but when issues that require actual human intervening arise, Ubers customer service will almost certainly let you down.

Absolutely no tech support outside a trouble shoot that has no resolution. If the card isnt being registered by Uber and you call the bank and everything is legit, there is no way to reach out and ask for help.

Just another irritating app. Seems I have an outstanding payment of 5$ in different currency, that prevented me to place an order. And they were silent about it for 6 month... The issue is partly related to my bank too which didnt recognize that currency and didnt authorize this payment. I have a 20$ credit in my account but uber would keep asking to add a credit card, which doesnt make when I already have a 20$ credit... I will settle the bill, use credit, then will delete it for good.

You have to go meet them at drop points, which is really annoying if you dont know the area.

Uber leaderships self-centered perspective is finding its way into their apps. There is no context of customer service. Everything is their way or--literally--the highway. The app wont let me change my name to my preferred name and instead uses my legal name, which causes confusion. Now theyve introduced tipping, which runs counter to every reason I used Uber and is the reason I dont use Lyft. This was supposed to be a contract between two people with Uber as the intermediary. Now it is Uber calling all the shots and paving the way for future reduction in driver payouts. There isnt anyplace to provide feedback. You would think a company losing nearly a billion dollars a quarter might want a way to listen to what their customers want. After all these changes, there arent really any compelling reasons not to make a switch to Lyft.

Honestly at times the prices would vary and skyrocket for no reason for example a simple $15 can turn into $30. Its kind of ridiculous especially if distance isnt that far. Then comes the customer service which is nasty and horrible. Some drivers really care but others are out there for money because Uber charge more than Lyft. I witness in front of my eyes an older nice lady treated nasty by a driver who claim no one tells her what to do and shes her own boss and even got in the car and instead of handling her own problems to herself handled it so unprofessional and drove off. Not only that she was also late as well. I talked with the older women and I was so disgusted and couldnt believe that. Seriously and some drivers dont try to interact with you like they are miserable in their lives and just want the money. Seriously please improve this customer service. Lyft is better in my own opinion but is based on your preference.

I was raised to give tips, so I have no problem giving them. However with the tip update Ive had drivers actually harass me for tips. It creates an extremely awkward situation. I dont like being told to do something. Im the customer. I shouldnt feel bullied into tipping. I should want to tip because I appreciate the service. Uber, you messed up by adding the tipping feature. Good thing theres lyft.

Made a account today tried at least 3 times with different cards to request a ride all three times I was told Change payment option

So Ive had Uber for awhile and it used to be a great company with great service and actually the drivers arent bad. Its not the drivers its the company. I dont know what has happened but the last few months Uber has went for great to horrible. I have the Uber ride pass with the $3.99 for Uber pool if the trip is under $20. Well when I request an Uber itll show $3.99 while Im on the trip itll show $3.99 but once the trip is completed itll be triple that price a few times even more, once it was $43.00. And Ill email them and theyll give me every excuse in the book for the price increase. And its sad because they used to be a good honest company but when this ride pass expire I might have to cancel my account. I just hope the correct this problem.

They up charge you for anything!!! When I asked for a refund multiple times they acted like Bots forwarding massages and went unresolved Im Deleting the app

Uber is excellent.. There are a bunch of crybabies on here haha... well Ive used uber several times and its great. Its much better than taxis the location works great. If the driver cant find you the number is on there and you can call them and inform them into your location. Obviously in bigger cities it work better but I live in a smaller city and I use it all the time. So dont believe all the bad reviews on here.. theyre are too many sensitive people on here I guess haha.

Tried 2 different credit cards. Still it continues to say request failed payment method invalid. All the credit card information has been put in properly. No genuinely helpful solutions to this. Not happy

This company is a scam. Their incompetent driver wasted 20 minutes of my life when he couldnt figure out how to pick me up at airport. Then he canceled and they charged me $5 for his incompetence. BOYCOTT UBER!!!!!!!!! BOYCOTT UBER!!!!!!!!! BOYCOTT UBER!!!!!!!!!

I cant put the location services to work only when Im using the app anymore. Now its "Always" or "Never"!!!

On July 16th, 2017 we took an Uber ride from airport and at our destination we exited the vehicle, gave our thanks and goodbyes to the driver. As we were checking in at our hotel we did indeed receive a request to tip the driver through the Uber app. Why not tip? These people are not ALL self employed, someone bought a fleet of vehicles and is sending people out to drive under the Uber banner. I like to talk to those who drive me places ?

i tried it with my friend on same location going to a same place, there were 6dollar prices differences. uber is a scam. they over over charge you. they are not like before.
