Too many updates

Ordered POOL, received and charged for X

I take Uber multiple times a day and I always choose pool. Yesterday I did the same, and was surprised and upset to see that even though I clearly ordered pool I was charged for X and it said I took X. When issues arise (such as a driver starting a trip without me in the car and as a result I get charged which happened a week ago) I contact customer service. It now seems that Ive used up my customer service credits as they dont want to help me anymore because Ive "already contacted customer support about a similar issue in the past". Are you serious, Uber? For riders who take Uber multiple times a day problems are more likely to arise just because we take it so much. All that customer service said is "Uber X was selected as your vehicle option for this trip. Based on this vehicle option, your fare is correct." I am really upset because I clearly remember not selecting Uber X. I ordered an Uber pool car with the fare of around 4 dollars (cant remember the exact price). While I was waiting for the car it temporarily went out and then reconnected (looked like the driver canceled and accepted the trip again but I didnt give it much thought). I took the Uber, thinking it was Uber pool because thats what I ordered. After the ride I get a receipt with a charge of $11.76 for an Uber X which i did NOT order and did NOT approve. I am very upset about this and the way Uber handles their customers.

Great Service !!!!

First of all, let me tell you that you can turn off your location thing in the app, all you have to do is change it to "NEVER" when youre not using Uber, and then turn it back on when you are using Uber. Its not that hard, I dont know why everyone is complaining about something you can control yourself. I have had absolutely no trouble with the new updated app, and I love that we can now tip our drivers. All my drivers have been very professional, have had to clean cars and some have even offered really cool amenities.

I love the fixed rate

Uber is my go to for rides. They now offer a fixed rate for anywhere in my ride area excluding the airport which should be included. They now offer a tipping option which goes against the reason people signed up for Uber in the first place. No Tipping.

Dont get this stupid app

I was charged $5 for "not showing up" even though uber was the one who couldnt meet me at the pickup point in the first place. Truly a terrible service.

Horrible drivers

Why is it that every time my destination is far, drivers would complain??? I mean you should be expecting that there are some destinations that are far. Why did you drive for uber if you will just complain??? Every time your drivers would say that my destination is far and its traffic, how do you think that would make me feel??? Terrible.

Unable to use the app at all

I tried to log into the app, but there is no link to log into an existing account. I entered phone number, text code, and email as prompted only to get an error message that my email was already registered. I KNOW THAT. Emailed back and forth with customer support and started to feel like they were trolling. No help at all and didnt seem to comprehend the problem. Finally they said I should delete my account and sign up again. Sure delete it. Not sure if I will try again

not using it anymore

They started to overcharge me i used to go to college and pay only $2:99 now they are charging me $5:00 plus they started asking for tip.Really???!!!!

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon "cvle9" to get $20 off your first ride! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Great app and service, but one star for useless update summary. The new location policy is wrong.

Worst customer service Ive ever seen. Create a call center and stop using automated responses.

Switched to Lyft for better location privacy. Is that uber watching where you walk from the car? You bet!

Deaf riders accommodation

Uber should give deaf riders the ability to text their drivers.

Can not trust anymore

I have been using Uber over an year, of late I noticed that the drivers behavior turn into cheating... 4 negative instances, 1. He just passed in front of me and charged fee, 2. My secondary credit card was charged with out me authorizing the card for the specific trip. 3. Driver did not pick up and charged, 4 Driver came but did not want to take me to the destination he accepted in the app! & charged cancellation which he caThe ncelled!!... every time when I face the issue and complained it too 3 to 4 days to get response from customer service. felt that no more I can trust, so deleted the app (you end up leaving minimum one of your credit card info though :-( ..)... complicated customer service.

ZERO STARS

ABSOLUTELY LIVID Here is the complaint I sent to Uber: "I called an Uber XL (for 6 people) and the driver arrived with a regular Uber; the car could only fit 4 people max. I asked the driver why he was here because I had called an XL and he looked annoyed and didnt give any response. I proceeded to ask again, to which he responded with, "Itll be a tight fit. You know the XL is just a label right?" He assumed our 6 people would squeeze into a car meant for 4. I repeated to the driver that I called an XL and that his car would not fit everyone. He looked at me and said, "Cancel the trip so I can leave." He drove off right away. I canceled the Uber and was wrongly charged $5.00. The driver was extremely unprofessional and rude. I would like a refund for the $5.00." I sent expecting a refund as well as the driver to be reprimanded. BUT UBER RESPONDED WITH "In reviewing the details of the trip, we can confirm you were charged a cancellation fee appropriately." How has the driver not been punished? Its ILLEGAL for 6 people to fit into a car meant for 4. 1 person wouldve ridden in the front and 5 in the back. I contacted Uber again through its website (THEY DONT HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER) and they put $5 back into my account. No actual refund to my card. This was all done by an automated system; never a real person in contact with me. I will never be riding with Uber again.

Uber is eh

Im giving 2 stars because most of the time Uber was good to me (safe ride, clean enough cars, decent drivers), but I had one bad experience with a driver and HORRIBLE experience with customer service so decided to stop using Uber. Lyft has been much friendlier to me.

Sick Of Double Charges

Right now I have a love-hate relationship with Uber. The app often double charges me for rides and Ill have to argue with support about it, which sometimes I wont ever get my double charge money back.. Most the time the support is helpful though and quick to reply to me. Im a bit salty that Ive gotten some low rated Uber Drivers and didnt think they were that bad, so I gave them a good rating and they turn around and give me a low rating for no reason? I have no way to report this or do anything, I wish as a rider I could see what the Driver has said or rated me. Im very annoyed that my 5 Star Rating that Ive kept for over a year went down now because those ones that choose to give me bad ratings for no reason? Im always polite and nice when I use Uber, so its annoying when a low rated driver randomly rates me low because they seem salty. Ive gotten drivers that have had 3.4 Rating, which Im wondering why someone like that is still driving? That one gave me a 1 Star Rating when I gave him a 5 Star Rating because he got me from point A to point B just fine, I was very nice and he gave me 1 Star? That shouldnt be allowed, it only happens to me when riding with low rates drivers... Any other ones Ive never had issues, Ive never even rated anyone below 4 stars tbh.
