It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

horrendous service

Recently, I requested uber the driver was nearby but called me and asked me to cancel the ride as he did not want to come and wanted to go somewhere else. This is just one incident, this happens a lot and drivers are rude and unprofessional

In-App tipping does not work

I just updated app so I can use in-app tipping and it does not work

GARBAGE

I bought credits and cant even use them. I used my last $50 for this for work and this crap wouldnt let me use it then I talked to "customer service " for 4 hours and still nothing is fixed. This app is trash

Fantastic!

Im going to start off by saying that it seems people in major cities have the worst reviews for the app. I live within the LA county, but not within the city of LA. Ive been using Uber since 2013 and honestly, I have never had any major issues with the app. When I have had small issues like the $2.00 cancellation fee or being charged $1.00 extra or something of the similar nature, the app always replies to me very fast and they always come to an agreement with me. Ive only ever felt uncomfortable with a driver once and the app blocked him from ever picking me up again, which I thought was great. Sometimes Uber is even cheaper than taking the bus in my city. I usually take Uber to get to class or when Im going out and it gets the job done!

Use lyft!

Was wrongfully charged fee for not knowing how to use app. Contacted support and they said they will not be issuing a refund. Dont waste your money with these guys go lyft.

Room for improvement

I enjoy the ease of using uber and that cars are usually there within minutes. However, there could be improvements made to prevent drivers and riders from taking advantage. On a recent trip, my driver started the trip several minutes before he arrived at my location. Would it be possible to have some sort of confirm feature so that riders are not overcharged. Later in the trip, my driver got off the highway to stop at a gas station. I understand that issues occur, but it seems unfair that I as a rider should have to pay more because a driver did not fill up before hand. There should be some way for the driver to pause a trip if they need to make an unrequested stop.

Charged twice??????

I request a ride and the dude didnt move for literally 5 mins at his house and I cancel it and get charged for it and then I request another ride get the same guy get the on trip notification but the guy is anout 4 miles away from me and I get charged again. Uber needs to focus on the important things like the infrastructure of this trash app before they worry about things like tips

First time user, LOVE the driver I got!

On vacation today we used Uber for the first time so we didnt have to drive our own vehicle and worry about door dings (plus our uber was 1/4 the price of parking!) I must say I absolutely LOVE the driver we got. He showed up 6 minutes after I requested a ride and he was soo helpful with suggestions for places to visit in the area. Glynn in Kansas City is above and beyond wonderful! The only improvement I could suggest is allowing users to request previous drivers. Im excited to meet another Uber driver, but if I had the option to use Glynn again I definitely would.

No customer recourse

How would you go about sharing your dissatisfaction that a driver was 3 minutes away for 15 minutes at least, not even moving, then went in completely the wrong direction, did not reply to messages, so you cancel the still get charged a cancellation fee? Why dont you build in some customer recourse for incompetent drivers in your app?

Over Charge and Horrible Customer Service

Ive been trying to get a refund for an over charge and was given a blanket (form reply) for why they over charge. The problem is that the uber trip didnt fall into any of the reasons given and uber declared the matter closed! I finally was able to provide proof of why the fare was in error but they wouldnt allow it after 7 days! Terrible...

Never again

I would of gave uber a 4 star bc they get me to where I need to be. BUT!!! I was charged a extra 40 dollars for a uber on a cleaning fee I guess when it wasnt my fault ??‍♀️ If your uber dont know where there going to the point they keep slamming on there breaks you might spill something too. But the funny and messed up part about it is I cleaned it up for her in my drive way. She charged me the next day after the ride was done with. Likeeeeeeeeeeeee uber wyd. Just know I will never ride uber again after that day and I dont recommend it to anyone anymore!

Account compromised

I had a uber account, rarely used. Went to use it and my username and mobile number had been somehow linked to a driver profile, in Russian. Could not edit my profile name or details due to link to fake driver profile, or unlink my rider profile from the fake driver profile. Only thing to do was CANCEL my credit card and tell uber to kill my account, because of their abysmal security. Id give this negative stars if I could. AVOID this app!

Ok service but Uber GPS is awful

So I live in New York City and I dont mind the Uber pool. Ive had good service with most of the drivers and on the rare occasion not have one that knows how to use GPS. The main complaint I have is the GPS system that Uber drivers have is beyond horrible. I had a recent trip where their GPS left me 7 or 8 blocks away from the address I had put for the destination. The driver was at least nice enough to navigate to the correct location but the GPS system that Uber drivers are given needs to be better. Google maps is more accurate than what they have.

A bit creepy

Dear Uber: preventing a user from controlling location information via the native iPhone privacy settings means you are asking us to trust you to not intrude in our privacy. Right now your business reputation is pretty much in the toilet. So perhaps you ought to just let customers decide how to control their privacy instead of you telling us "trust us."

Uber deactivated account with no warning

I made a new account with a different email address and used it for one journey, then the next day I try to use it again when Im in a rush to get somewhere and the app says my account has been banned because of the payment information. This makes no sense as my card details were all fine and my bank account is working. This caused me to miss my allocated time for a non-refundable ticket I had bought for £40. Thanks a lot, uber.
