When you search the airport of your city, check the route carefully because possibly the destination is set to the middle of a runway and the route is several miles longer than it should be. As a result, youre paying $4~$6 extra for the distance you wont travel. I reported to Uber several month ago and never heard back. And, do they think people are used to the "Always on" location tracking? No reason for me to allow them to track my location 5 minutes after drop off, and no reason to trust them only doing what the claimed to do. And, people like me still havent forgotten that Uber requested hundreds of Lyft cars then cancelled them and did so again and again. What a mean company. Not that Im still using this app. In fact, I have not used it ever since I found the overcharging trap. Not to mention the location tracking. Im just keeping this app installed so that I can get back and leave a 1-star review whenever it is updated.

The app works just fine but is getting entirely too bloated (along with many other iPhone apps). I mean really, you need more than 1/4 of a GB for this??

I was recently in Boston and had the choice to use Uber or Lyft. When I have this choice its almost always Lyft. I used a Lyft 9 times. And an Uber...not at all. Why? Because Uber is in the dark ages in terms of what passengers want. I want to avoid dealing with cash. But your app wont let me do that!! Its my choice whether or not to tip and I want to do that without sorting out cash in the dark and perhaps over or under-tipping. PLEASE FIX THIS. Thanks.

Nope. You still dont need my location once I end my ride. Fail You want your stars back? Gives us back the option of "While Using"

There can be no valid reason why this app needs location "always on" except for corporate voyeurism

This has changed the way I travel now. I have always hated taxi cabs. I avoided them at all costs... just never felt safe . Uber allows me to know who my driver is and be able to ride in a new clean car.

I havent had any trouble or issues with the app. Works great everywhere Ive gone and used it.

Do not get involved with this company. Check your review in about a week, only you will be able to see your review no one else. I find Ubers business practices to be sneaky and despicable. Im not going to recommend this app from Uber. The Uber app pulls the resale value out of your car to Pay YOU. Uber needs to compensate and pay the drives real money, so they can fix and maintain there cars. Uber doesnt pay much to the drivers at all (Uber keeps about 60% of what the rider pay UBER). Once you consider your fuel cost, extremely high cost of ride-share car insurance, car maintenance and the terrible wear and tear on the car itself plus significant lose of value of your car at resale, especially because of the super high miles on your vehicle. The Uber app is a very bad deal for the drive. However the riders are getting a great deal on your dime and time. Sorry for the bad new.

All apps that have the generic "We update the app to make it better for you" without explaining what is going on get 1 star from me ?

The new version, I just downloaded seems to think it knows where I am better than I do. My pickup location is 9418...current location thinks it 9419. I canceled the ride and rescheduled by typing in 9418. The app overrides what I typed (9418) with 9419.

I only have one issue with it. I cant rate the rider from the app and I cant edit my profile pic or info. Other than that its a great app and I really enjoy using it. Also why does it only have 27 ratings? Its been out for over 2 years.

Tried to get a ride to the train the other day. Was supposed to arrive in 3 min. Forward 15min and the ride says 1min away for 13min. Because it is so close I cannot cancel without penalty. I was gonna miss my train ... I left the request open and eventually got charged. Ridiculous!

We update the app as often as possible to remove all of the negative reviews of our app and fool more people into getting our app and using uber. Check back next week to see the latest way that we exploit our drivers, incentivizing them to work long hours without developing any new skills or educating themselves, all the while using the profits we make off of our drivers hard work to steal self driving car secrets from google so that we can deploy a fleet of self driving cars in 10 years (or less) thereby rendering our drivers, who have spent 10 years driving for us, totally redundant to the workforce and thus unemployed. Oh, also we track your location when not using the app and we have a sneaky privacy policy!

Can no longer choose option "only while using app" for location tracking. Uber is a great service, but this is an unacceptable trade off. While I appreciate that they think keeping location tracking on for 5 minutes after the ride ends (though a "bug" could now keep it on indefinitely), I prefer to keep my privacy intact. Some riders may not care about this, but Uber should allow the rider to choose what amount of privacy theyre willing to fork over.

Over all great service but the GPS is just terrible

My total ride was $9.35 later on I saw I have been charged $49.35 on my card. I emailed them immediately but they didnt reply me back

Yes, we need to enable location services for Uber to work properly. But why does it always need to know where we are? Please add a "while using the app" option for location. I am forced to turn on/off the "always" every time I use uber.

If you are a new user, use the code "UberEnllol" to get your first trip for free. At least you will get something good from them. Update: Uber now requests having access to your location all the time. Hopefully, I managed to restore an old version of the app. Please, change that sneaky setting, or I will stop using the service. And also, drivers are commonly cancelling rides these days, so you have to manually request for another ride with a higher fare! Unfair! On recent news they have disclosed how shady is Uber. Selling location info and buying data to unmorally own the competition.

Then you will love UBER. Its even in the name. This company has no ethics. Look how it treats its workers. Its drivers. How it steals technology. How it lies and deceives governments.
