Customer service is horrible

One day they deactivated my account for no reason, so wrote back to the asking why, they said I violated the terms and conditions and I must be 18 or older when Im 32 and they can deactivate in a future. No thank will never use you again nor recommend to anybody

Cancellation fees

I try to make an errand, and it doesnt work. When I go for another option because uber apparently wont work, they somehow make the driver come anyway and charge me cancellation fees! They tell me the errand couldnt be processed, yet a driver shows up anyway and gives me a bad review because I took the bus! Unacceptable!

Map better

I really enjoy ? using the service. I just wish the map would let you see images to and from a location. I also wish the driver would text as well as call when they are picking up. I also wish the driver would have a code that they text that a customer nerds to text back before he or she can ride. I also wish we could get an Uber visa ? . I also wish the customer would need to send a picture of themselves.

EXECS TRIED TO SILENCE EMPLOYEE ON USE OF ESCORTS / SEXISM

The last straw. Im deleting all my uber apps. String of recent workplace sexism & harassment stories. Now we find out Uber Senior VP called former woman employee to ask her to stay quiet about CEO and other execs going to an escort bar in South Korea where the called out escorts by ID numbers pinned to their chests in front of this female HR manager. Disgusting organization. Ill pay the same price or extra couple bucks to one of your competitors.

Driver Quality is bad

In its desire to grow fast Uber has neglected driver quality and there needs to be more stringent background checks.

Its okay but not always professional

First I like to say they are way cheaper than a cab but sometimes you get what you pay for, you either get a nice uber driver or you may get someone with a smelly car and could care less about how many grocery bags you have with a snotty attitude.. I lost a purse today which I did find but dont depend on uber to really be much help, you cant even call a actually person or you have to pretend like you got injured in order to talk to a real person.. never lose anything in a uber or you may never see it again because they are not responsible for returning items. Sad I know

Complete scam! Payed for food that never arrives.

Paid for food, waited an hour, watched the updates. The driver never showed up, paypal was charged. The order disappears from both views past / current , so I cant even leave driver rating. I think this is fraudulent activity on uber, the phantom driver did not exist, took an hour on phone to recover my my money. I am deleting the app after writing thw review. Try yelpeats, it actually worked.

charged for a ride I couldnt request

Hit "request uber" got request failed, same thing happened again and again, I tried at least 4 times. Later, when I was on my way in Lyft, I received a notification that an Uber driver canceled my trip, no idea which one, then I received a receipt $5 charge cancelation fee. There is no way to contact their customer service to explain all that. They refund me with a credit when I hit "I couldnt connect with the driver" in the "help" section. I DONT WANT CREDIT, I WANT REFUND

All Unhappy Uber riders

To all the unhappy Uber riders, mainly speaking about this apparently, one or two, drivers that are bad at customer service and are just jerks. I am not sure where you are but I am guessing most of you are in San Francisco. This one or two people that are rude are not the only ones out there. There are a few people like me out there and I love driving for Uber. I dont know about that cancel fee. I would check to make sure he isnt just making sure to say no-show after only a minute or so. If they are, you need to call and report this one or two drivers. I dont cancel riders. I have accidentally missed one or two but then make sure to take it when it shows again. I havent done S.F. yet but it sounds like this one person was probably a taxi driver before. I keep my car clean, offer people mints or gum, if wanted. I have good conversations with those that want to talk and just listen to music with those that would rather not talk. I almost automatically give all my riders 5 stars. Please dont stop using Uber because of one or two idiots that dont know how to be courteous. I am and know others who are always polite, respectful and care to make sure everyone gets home safely. It might be the S.F. thing. Not sure.

Surge

They no longer tell you about surge rates or anything you can hit fare estimate can say high due to increased demand but changes literally every minute for price and you never know if you lock in a cheaper price or not because does not show you surge rate anymore so every time you run it its different

The app has been acting up horribly these days especially on my iPhone. Good pricing sometimes and a lot of times I have to contact uber for wrongfully charging me the wrong trip and fee. Which is ridiculous. What I suggest from now on is taking screenshots of all your trips to have evidence of their foul ups.

Bad update

Latest update cant find my location for anything. And now you want to know where I am even when Im not using the app? No thank you.

Free ride coupon didnt work.

The coupon didnt work and I was charged full price. Not cool. Navigation didnt have the correct pick up, or drop. I think I should get the $20 credit back!

Tracking users all the time

Tracking is always on. Uber is following its users in real time, everywhere they go, all the time. And theres no way to verify that its respecting the 5-min assertion. Huge privacy issue and sheer arrogance.

Switch to Lyft, its WAY CHEAPER

Terrible app/customer service

Was overcharged for ride, got a refund, but when I tried to use the app again to charged me again the overcharged amount. I have since been trying to get the issue resolved but the customer service is built into the app only (no phone number, chat, or email address) and the app keeps cutting off my conversations, not allowing me to respond to messages. Its very aggravating and now I will not use the app again as I fear it will continue to make false charges every time I use it.
