I am an Uber driver who has been driving since July of 16. I carry a 4.92 rating. However I would like to profusely complain about the ride notification while you are taking another passenger to a location. Here is the problem. When you were having a conversation with a passenger or watching the road in traffic, it is almost impossible to pay attention to the little banner that comes up at the top of the window notifying you that you have another ride. It would be so much easier for the drivers if the same notification came up like it did for the original ride with the big circle blinking that way we would never miss a ride. Yesterday I missed two rides and for the life of me I have no idea when I got them, please change this immediately so we do not miss any rides and our customers get the quickest pick up. I love driving for Uber and the customers are fantastic.
Why is it such a hassle to change my phone number when I travel to other countries?
I used Uber a lot during the summer and it really helped bring me back from school to home. However, the recent update to this company has had the ride prices increase and quality fall. Im on the street and the Uber comes on the other side of the street, takes a look at me, ignores my call, and cancels my ride. This doesnt happen every time but sometimes, it cues me up to wait 20 minutes in LA with thousands of other Uber drivers. Uber has lost its quality and consistency so I may need turn to LIFT now.

Worse experience than lyft. Lyft generally a more pleasant experience. I had 2 ubers cancel on me and made me late for a meeting so never using again too unreliable. Every time you use the uber app, the uber CEO sacrifices a female human child to Cthulhu.
Ive clicked every button to try and find the option for scheduling a pickup in advance, Ive even went to help to find it and it says that it should be where it isnt. My boyfriend likes this app but he uses on his phone and thats probably why its easier for him.
No release notes = 1-star review. If youre just including bug fixes try: "bug fixes". Also, you could just release less frequently if you dont have anything worth releasing, you know, to not waste your users bandwidth and the App Store reviewers time. I keep this app on my phone because the service is great, and I use it when traveling. Next time there are release notes Ill bump the rating to 5 stars.
I am really disappointed at their services lately. I am deleting the app. Time estimates are wrong every single time. If you cancel it they will charge you, matter of factly, they charge you right away( just look at your bank account). When you are trying to address an issue, they use automatic messages, that will give a credit for your next ride but not reimbursement as its not "in accordance with their policy". You driver never arrived and cancelled your trip? They charge you $5, again without reimbursement. And I dont need their credit as I am not gonna use their services anymore. And thats after using it on a daily basis for few years. I do not care if my concerns are heard, Uber, if you cannot fix anything. "We appreciate your thoughts on this, and understand you’re frustrated you did not receive a cancellation fee refund on this trip. Our team has reviewed this trip, and we can confirm that a full refund of the cancellation fee is not in accordance with our policy. Please know that your concerns have been heard. We understand that we likely will not see eye-to-eye on this issue. With that, the credit will remain on your account and we are closing out this discussion."
Im not going to recommend Uber. Why? Uber pulls the resale value out of your car to Pay YOU. Uber needs to compensate and pay the drivers real money so they can fix and maintain their car. Uber doesnt pay much to the drivers at all (Uber keeps about 60% of what the rider pays UBER). Once you consider your fuel cost, extremely high cost of ride-share car insurance, car maintenance, terrible wear and tear inside/outside of the car, significant loss of value at resale due to extremely high mileage Uber is not worth it. The Uber app is a very bad deal for the driver. However, the riders are getting a great deal on your dime and time. Sorry for the bad new. Thank you

Should be no reason I had 3 rides cancel in a row each taking around 15-20 minutes average for my riders to cancel. 2 of which never even left their original space parked. Then the first one charged even though they cancelled. Now its almost an hour waiting for to get home. If it exceeds that I basically want a free ride because this is horrible service.
Its now mandatory to provide my destination address. I travel frequently in Southeast Asia, where MANY LOCATIONS DO NOT HAVE ADDRESSES! I must admit to my driver, "this address is not accurate, but I can direct you there". He frustratingly quips, "I need an address". So now, in order to get a ride, I have to enter a fictitious address. THIS IS CRAZY! And BTW Uber, Im not ALWAYS turning on my location services (as you now require). Everything used to work perfectly. Why dont you add the color of the car? In traffic, it would be so much easier. I really want to LIKE you, but you are making it harder and harder to do so.
Ive been a loyal Uber rider for the last couple of years. Ive had some issues in the past six months or so relating to a pass I purchased that never worked properly, rude drivers and extremely poor customer service. Now the app doesnt even work. The last few times Ive tried to get a ride, the request times out. I live in a major city... give me a break. No one has time to wait 5 minutes for a ride to be "located" then time out. There are other ways to get rides, no need to put up with this BS. Buh bye now!
They show you the sweet price before you take the ride and charge you 5 times more than the price. Its a fraud!! Dont use this app. Silly me got ripped off by them.
Why does the app switch to Chinese version? And I cant log in. Cant believe so many negative reviews. Its a miracle uber isnt dead yet.

It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!
Its creepy how Uber wants to know your location AT ALL TIMES, not just when using the app. They took away the option to share location just when using the app; now its always or never.
We used Uber for the first time during our trip to LV. I am surprised to read all the negative reviews. We used about 5 Uber drivers and chose to use it fr our ride back to airport (1/2 price of our regular taxi), each time we had drivers right on time, courteous and eager to share infos on their city. We loved the fact you know ahead of time the rate , we gave tips, liked that we could follow up on GPS the driver arrival to our location, liked the safety of it with photo of driver, plate nber ( yes photo of car would be even more useful). Planning on using it on future trips including In Paris ( Parisian cabs not always courteous, so it will be a nice change).
