First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Requiring location "always" is inexcusable

The app worked perfectly before with "when using the app only" location setting, removing that option is user hostile and actively makes the app worse since "never" is an inferior experience that makes Uber hard to use. Oh well, thats just more money for Lyft I guess.

No in-app tipping? ??

How in the WORLD can Uber not have tipping IN THE APP? Who carries cash? Lame. Use Lyft.

Horrible outsourced customer service

All issues and complaints go to some Indian call center. All they do is copy/paste generic Uber terms or service as responses. Gone are the days when you could get a competent person in he pine who speaks English. I have used Uber for years and all of a sudden the app is rejecting every payment source, even Apple Pay! My workaround is to login to my wifes Uber account, and request a ride with the payment method which is failing on my account. All I get from then useless indian call center people is some generic BS avoid making sure here are enough funds available or to try another lent method. Gee, you think... you had to have money available to spend it???? Totally useless. If he app works for you, consider yourself lucky. If you have any issues whatsoever, good luck!

Loved Uber. A few taps and the car arrived, clean vehicles with friendly drivers and fair pricing The last two attempts, no cars showed. Even after speaking to the driver, who said he was coming in 5 min, after a ten minute wait. Driver would not answer the second call and never arrived. Its hard to rate a driver that never arrived and is removed from your app. Uber is squeezing the drivers and the quality and reliability are hurting. I am not a driver. Just a disappointed previous fan. Go with Lyft. You can even tip a good driver if you choose.

I just want to schedule a ride!!!

I needed to get to an important Driver Improvement workshop, and Uber would not let me schedule a ride in advance because of my location!? So then I woke up early to request a ride to get to the workshop, and it said no cars were available! I tried to request one for half an hour!! I wound up MISSING THE WORKSHOP completely and now my drivers license is going to be suspended. THANKS FOR YOUR INCOMPETENCE, UBER!! THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL TRY TO USE YOUR SERVICES!!

Its okay not always professional

First I like to say they are way cheaper than a cab but sometimes you get what you pay for, you either get a nice uber driver or you may get someone with a smelly car and could care less about how many grocery bags you have with a snotty attitude.. I lost a purse today which I did find but dont depend on uber to really be much help, you cant even call a actually person or you have to pretend like you got injured in order to talk to a real person.. never lose anything in a uber or you may never see it again because they are not responsible for returning items. Sad I know

Needs a fix

There should be an option for different phone numbers for different users on a family account. No point in the uber calling a family member (account organizer) when they are not there...

Sub-par

Uber doesnt get to set the par anymore. Poor internal management; poor treatment of employees; circumvention of law via proven dubious practices with city officials accounts; stolen IP from Alphabets self driving car company; CEO who cant take responsibility for things or respect those who make his company move; the list goes on. I also had some problems with drivers falling asleep on the road in Singapore (3 times in a week). Drivers there usually have multiple jobs because they cant make enough money on any of them alone. Uber is a really convenient option, but unfortunately is a common way for people to stretch themselves too thin and put passengers in unsafe situations. Use Lyft.

Overcharged and unresolved

I was overcharged. Supposed to be a less-than-8-dollars charge where they actually took $19.27 off my credit card. The charge displayed on the app was different than the actual money charged. It was only a short trip of 2 miles and before midnight. I only requested the ride because it said less than $8. $19.27 was definitely not the fee I agreed to prior to my request. Utter deception! I am extremely disappointed. I reported it within 24 hours, as soon as I found out the next morning. They kept ping-ponging the issue from person to person and never got it resolved in a timely manner. They even said they were "unable" to find the trip I was referenceing. I was like REALLY? IT WAS JUST LAST NIGHT. I screenshot the trip + charges and sent it over and yet they kept claiming they could not find it. I would have not requested that ride if I knew they would charge me that much. At least the customer should have been informed about the fee differences (at least a range on how much the customer will be charged at the end of the trip) prior to making decision on whether to take the ride or not. ZERO INFORMATION. Total disaster. Complete fraud!
