Bring Back Old Format

Forcing the user to put in the address first before requesting a car is very irritating. Drivers wont pick you up as fast or quickly if its a short ride. Also this group format putting how many people you want in is also irritating and confusing to some users. The share ride format should be a separate option. I use uber all the time. I hadnt used Lyft in months, but now have switched over and will stay with Lyft until you return back to the greatness that was. Not sure if this new poor format is only in my city or all over, but I am certain you are losing business.

Great, BUT!

So far so good, but seriously. Why do you default to a "carpool" and then charge $2 to cancel? You should add a step that asks you what "size" uber you want! Ive almost made the mistake a few times in the past and then actually made it today. Clearly my fault, but could easily be avoided by adding a step.

LOVE IT!!

I love Uber it is so reliable! Its a pick, request a car ride and go! Sometimes Id find myself requesting and uber and leave from my phone to see it is still requesting 5min later or that a driver canceled my ride and that would get me upset. Especially because we have to pay if we cancel a trip. Also, sometimes it would put in my wrong pickup request (as it is supposed to automatically put in the address you are at at the current location). That is automatic and I would later find that the app put in some random address and that would upset me. Other than that great drivers, great GPS tracker, reasonable time to get to me, wonderful service!

Bad bad version

Was obligated to upgrade to the new version where payment methods stop working; couldnt add a new credit card nor paypall account. Lack or NO support at all. AND why would you force people to upgrade without doing the proper testing?

Horrible app

When I first downloaded the app it use to work. Now the app doesnt even work and I cant request rides. Tried contacting them for help and that dont work. Ever since that stupid update it stop working

tipping option on the app

i just read an article about ubers tipping policy. they do not have the option to add a tip on their app but drivers may now be expecting one. either add the feature on the app or do not expect the passenger to tip. i dont carry cash with me. lyft has this feature. so does starbucks!

Beware of Ubers Surge Pricing Policy

Uber price gouges unsophisticated customers from time to time. My fare to my destination was $11.00 however my return fare was $118.00! Surge pricing was 3.3X the fare of $35.00. I had no prior experience or warning of this level of gouge. I estimated $40 bucks, tops. And, the car was not a limo and didnt even have a hot tub! Lol! This service is a "user beware!" I hope they go out of business, soon! Im never, ever using them again! Its not possible to give negative stars on iTunes but know the one star rating Im leaving is generous!

Great drivers, mediocre app

Cons: The app always automatically rates most of my drivers with 0/5 stars when they deserve 5/5. The fare split has only worked a few times, and I end up venmo-ing my friends anyways. Pick up location is unintuitive. Pros: Cheaper, honest fare, and way more polite than a taxi in Boston. Safe driving too!

UI needs work

Ubers app is unable to drag and drop a pin to the destination, like it can when setting the pickup location. Intuitiveness of user interface could use work, but the dev team regularly improves and updates the app. Its not clear when you actually have hailed a ride. Problems exist with sending more than one driver to a single call. Still, though, this is the go-to, first-choice default. Uber is the only service Ive seen that provides a cost estimate. This seemingly fundamental capability is lost on competitors Lyft and hardly-available-anywhere Sidecar.

Life changing product. Simple signup and registration process. Incredibly intuitive UI. Super fast, convenient and safe pick-up and drop-off. Courteous and respectful driver partners. Significantly cheaper than owning my own car or taking taxis. Significantly safer too. Thank you thank you thank you!

Cant stand the new icon

Love the app but why did they change the icon?? The black and white U was so easy to find. The green and white backward c makes no sense.

Ride pool is ride poo & non-existent customer service through app

You cant contact the co directly through the app and now with one of the updates you have to carpool from Newark airport. Who wants that.

Been using it in the Las Vegas, Nevada area as well as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Havent had a bad experience yet.

Cant even take my debit.

Everyone has a visa. Why wont either of my Visas work as payment options? Lyft was cheaper, pays drivers more and guess what? Took my payment method.

Worst experience ever!

This is the actual message I sent to them to delete my account: Just delete it. I add a card for payment and it doesnt keep it and shows two separate things on the app and on the website. And then Ill add the card again and it says add a payment so you can start riding. But Ive added 3 payment options and its not showing any. When I was finally able to make one stick (a card for payment) then it continuously said verify CV code. And it would then say successful but ask again. I was in New York and couldnt figure it out and had to use the train and then got lost. Ill never use this app again it clearly needs work. Also, it wont let me verify my cell phone number. It says I need to verify to finish my profile and when I click resend verification text it says already verified but it wont show. This is a great idea but it should have been tested more before putting it out for the world to use. Because while it may work for some Ive read reviews like this one with the same complaints I have. And that should be a sign the product isnt ready for the market. And youll lose customers due to this because like myself many dont have patience for faulty apps. So delete my account. You dont deserve my money or a spot on my phone screen. In addition, it wont allow me to continue until I add a rating no lower than one star. However, I actually rate this ZERO STARS!

Used to be great but is terrible now. Use Lyft instead.

Uber used to be a great service but they hire anyone and their is little regulation. Drivers are often late and overcharge you. There are better services out there like Lyft and Split.

Great, but could be better!

First, Id like to say I love this and it recently came to my town! I live on a college campus without a car and this is fairly cheap transport on demand. But, I have my complaints. Firstly, the position of the car on the app is almost always inaccurate. Even with great internet, the car is always a block ahead of where it says on the app. Also, I really wish there was a way to commend my driver in a way that the company would see. I may be missing this feature, but Ive had some drivers who are excellent! And some passable. There is a feature to complain but none to say the employee has gone above and beyond what should be expected. Bottom line, great app but it needs some tweaks!
